Focused on streamlining the high-frequency inventory workflows for global retail chains, this project redefines in-store stock-taking through a fluid, multi-modal entry system. By integrating continuous scanning with haptic-feedback-driven manual inputs and simplifying complex multi-packaging logic, I significantly reduced operational friction and enhanced data accuracy in demanding retail environments.

Project Background

Designed for large retail chains and convenience stores in the overseas retail industry, the in-store inventory system aims to streamline the stock-taking process, enhance the convenience of data entry and task management, while reducing operational complexity.

Design goal

  1. Execution of inventory page interaction adjustments.

  2. Support manual entry addition and scan addition.

  3. Support intuitive display of multiple packaging for a single product.

  4. Enhance usability and reduce information complexity.

Key Steps

Supports manual entry during continuous scanning

  • Provides flexible input methods to accommodate diverse operational scenarios.

  • Reduces unnecessary page switching to enhance operational fluency.

Customized entry components for inventory scenarios

  • Improved visual effects of UI components, expanded clickable areas of buttons for easier tapping

  • Enhanced operational feedback, added animation effects for quantity entry, combined with hardware vibration feedback

Supports entry scenarios for multiple packaging of a single product

  • Completes multi-packaging entry on the current page, simplifying the user workflow
